Julie home from reversal surgery

By Julie | January 6, 2010

I am happy to be back in the warm confines of our home! My hospital stay for the expected take-down, or reversal, surgery was a few days longer than expected, but it will have been worth it if I can recover without any more trips to the ER.

Will is delighted to have both of his parents AND Nana all in the same place. He is back on schedule at school and sleeping pretty well – it’s a relief to know this process hasn’t impacted him too much. More updates on all his progress – with pictures – at 22 months to come. (YES aunties, really!).

My diet can return to normal in the days to come. I’m taking it easy for now with soup, crackers and adding a little solid food at a time. The priority is staying hydrated since bathroom trips are still quite frequent. Our church community, neighbors and Team Julie have stepped up again and are helping out a lot which we are grateful for in the new year.

Mike’s dad (Grandpa) will be here at the end of the week to relieve Nana (Momma K.).

Happy, healthy 2010!
